Joys of Ranching
Hiding from the blazing sun,
Fishing once my work is done,
Mucking stalls,
Skipping balls,
Riding towards the sunset,
Praising him who paid my debt,
Dodging school work,
Eating pulled pork,
Taming horses,
Finishing school courses,
Climbing up the tallest tree,
Making pets of all things slimy,
Life on the ranch is truly a joy,
Even for one who’s not at all a tomboy.
