IF I LIVED ON A RANCH
If I lived on a ranch,
I'd go to a square dance.
I'd wear a blue checkered dress,
And I wouldn't make a mess.
I'd dance the night away,
And the band would play and play.
The next morning I’d get up to ride;
I’d get dressed to go outside.
I’d put on my shirt, vest, and pants,
My hat, my boots, then I’d prance.
I’d grab a bandana out of a drawer;
I’d walk out of my room and hear my dad snore.
I’d get on my horse that's black and gray;
I’d get on and ride far, far away.
When I’d get back later that day,
I’d look for my brother so we could play.
Then later that night we’d have a campfire;
We’d start to sing songs like a sweet sounding choir.
The next day we’d go to explore an old trail,
Me and my brother with the cat on our tail.
We’d play for awhile and guess who we met:
A sweet little rabbit running away toward the sunset.
